How do we know Jesus is the true prophet God promised?

Answered in 1 source

We know Jesus is the true prophet because He fulfills the prophecies of the Old Testament and speaks the very Word of God (Hebrews 1:2).

Jesus is identified as the true prophet of God by fulfilling the promise made in Deuteronomy 18:15. The uniqueness of His prophetic ministry lies in the fact that He does not just convey God's message; He is the Word incarnate (John 1:14). In Hebrews 1:1-2, it declares that God spoke in times past through the prophets, but in these last days, He has spoken through His Son. Jesus' authority is rooted in His divine nature and His role as the Messiah, making Him the definitive prophet. Recognizing Him as the fulfillment of God's promise assures believers of the truth and reliability of His words.
