How do we know Jesus is the ultimate high priest?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is the ultimate high priest because He is a priest forever, unlike the priests of Aaron who die.

Jesus Christ is affirmed as the ultimate high priest in Hebrews 7, which highlights His eternal priesthood in the order of Melchizedek, distinct and superior to the Aaronic priesthood. Unlike the Levitical priests who served temporarily and were unable to continue their office due to death, Jesus' priesthood is everlasting, embodying a complete and final sacrifice for our sins. His intercessory role at the right hand of God ensures that He not only offers sacrifice but also continually advocates for His people, signifying that salvation is fully secured in Him.
