How do we know Jesus is the way of peace?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus Christ is identified as the 'way of peace' through His mediation and sacrificial work for the elect.

In Romans 3, Paul asserts that Christ embodies the 'way of peace' because He is the mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). His role as the 'peacemaker' is established through His death on the cross, as taught in Colossians 1:20, where peace is made through His blood. This position as our substitute confirms that Jesus fulfills the obligations of God's covenant of peace—an eternal promise established within the Godhead, a covenant that secures the blessings of salvation for His chosen people, the elect. Thus, our understanding rests on the authority of Scripture that continually points to Christ as the sole source of true peace.
