How do we know Jesus is truly the King?

Answered in 2 sources

The authority of Jesus as King is affirmed by His all-encompassing control over creation, His fulfillment of prophecy, and the testimony of scripture.

The identity of Jesus as King is grounded in His fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies and His unique divine attributes. Jesus' claim to kingship is notably affirmed in John 18:37, where He states, 'For this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth.' His sovereignty is further evidenced by His power over nature, and the demons, and His capacity to forgive sins, which only a king with divine authority can do. Furthermore, in Philippians 2:10, we learn that 'at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,' signifying His ultimate authority over all. Thus, the scriptural witness, combined with fulfilled prophecy and the demonstrable authority He exerts in the world, assures us of Jesus’ kingship.
