How do we know Jesus loves sinners?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus explicitly receives sinners and His actions demonstrate His love through grace and reconciliation.

The love of Christ for sinners is made clear in His ministry and teachings. As noted in Luke 15:2, the Pharisees' criticism of Jesus for associating with sinners reveals a profound truth; He indeed came to save the lost. The parables of the lost sheep and the lost coin present Jesus as an active seeker of the lost, illustrating both His willingness to bear the burden of our sins and His joy in restoring us (Luke 15:4-10). This self-denying love culminated in His sacrificial death, affirming that there is no greater love than this (John 15:13). Thus, Jesus not only loves sinners but actively seeks to redeem them.
