How do we know Jesus prayed for us?

Answered in 3 sources

Jesus explicitly states that He prays for His followers, affirming that He intercedes for them before the Father (John 17:9).

In John 17:9, Jesus prays, 'I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.' This reflects the intimate connection between Jesus and His believers, underscoring the fact that He not only died for our sins but continues to advocate for us in heaven. The fact that Jesus prayed for Peter before his denial serves as a picture of His unwavering support for all believers, affirming that our salvation and perseverance in faith are secured by His intercession. Thus, we can take great comfort knowing that our high priest, who knows our struggles, is actively praying for us.
