How do we know Jesus' priesthood is better than the Levitical priests?

Hebrews 7 argues for the superiority of Jesus' priesthood by comparing it to the Levitical priesthood. The Levitical priests were many because they could not continue due to death, while Jesus continues forever, establishing an unchangeable priesthood (Hebrews 7:23-24). Furthermore, Jesus was appointed by an oath, emphasizing the divine guarantee of His role (Hebrews 7:20-21). His priesthood, therefore, not only fulfills the Old Testament types but establishes a new and better covenant, making Him the ultimate mediator between God and humanity.
