How do we know Jesus rose from the dead?

Answered in 7 sources

The resurrection of Jesus is substantiated by the empty tomb and multiple eyewitness accounts, including the disciples and Mary Magdalene.

The certainty of Jesus' resurrection can be traced to several compelling factors, prominently the empty tomb and the testimonies of His followers. In John 20, Mary Magdalene discovers the stone rolled away and the angels who confirm that Jesus has risen. Subsequent appearances to His disciples, as they initially struggle to believe, highlight the tangible evidence of His resurrection; Christ shows them His hands and side. The transformation in His disciples from fear to bold proclamation further substantiates this event, as they were willing to suffer for their faith, convinced that their Lord had risen indeed, as recorded in both Luke and John.
