How do we know Jesus saves?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus saves by taking our sins upon Himself and giving us His righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21).

The assurance of salvation through Jesus Christ rests on His redemptive work on the cross. As stated in 2 Corinthians 5:21, 'For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.' This verse reveals the great exchange in which Christ bore the weight of our sins, making Him an offering for our transgressions. In return, believers receive Christ’s perfect righteousness, allowing them to stand justified before God. This profound transaction confirms that Jesus indeed saves those who have faith in Him.
