How do we know Jesus was seen by Abraham?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus was revealed to Abraham through faith, as indicated in John 8:56.

John 8:56 notes that 'Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.' This indicates that through the gift of faith, Abraham had a revelation of Christ and the redemptive plan of God. The sermon elaborates that while Abraham lived before Christ's incarnation, God enabled him to see and understand the coming of the Savior. Abraham's ability to look forward to the promise of redemption demonstrates the continuity of God's covenantal faithfulness throughout history.
