How do we know Jesus will not fail in His mission?

Answered in 3 sources

We know Jesus will not fail because Scripture explicitly declares that He shall not fail nor be discouraged until His purposes are fulfilled.

Jesus Christ is described in Isaiah 42:4 as one who 'shall not fail, nor be discouraged.' This prophecy highlights the certainty of Christ’s success in fulfilling His mission of salvation. Unlike human endeavors that often encounter setbacks, Christ's work is guaranteed to be accomplished as He was chosen and empowered by God. His successful completion of redemptive work assures believers that their salvation is secure because it is based on His unchanging nature and accomplished sacrifice. This confidence stems from the truth that God's purposes always stand firm, and His word shall not return void.
