How do we know Job's faith was genuine?

Answered in 1 source

Job's faith is demonstrated by his unwavering integrity and worship of God despite immense suffering.

The genuineness of Job's faith is evidenced through his persistent belief in God, even amid unfathomable loss. Job was recognized by God as 'a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and turns away from evil' (Job 1:8). Throughout his trials, as he faced the loss of his family, wealth, and health, Job responded by worshiping God (Job 1:20-21). He stated, 'The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.' This response indicates a profound trust in God's sovereignty. Despite his lament, Job never cursed God or rebelled against His providence, demonstrating a steadfast faith that ultimately glorified God.
