How do we know justification by Christ is true?

Answered in 1 source

We know justification by Christ is true through Scripture which teaches that Christ's obedience has been imputed to his people, making them righteous.

Justification by faith alone in Christ alone is a core teaching of Reformed theology, grounded firmly in scripture. Romans 5:1 states, 'Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.' This verse affirms that it is through Christ's work that believers are justified. The apostle Paul elaborates further in 2 Corinthians 5:21, stating that God made Christ, who knew no sin, to be sin for us, so that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. This illustrates the double imputation where our sins were laid upon Christ, and in return, His righteousness is credited to us. Through this biblical foundation, we can confidently proclaim that justification by Christ is not a mere theological concept, but a divinely assured reality for those who believe.
