How do we know justification is a present reality for believers?

Answered in 1 source

Justification is a present reality for believers as they are declared innocent before God the moment they put their faith in Jesus.

Justification refers to the act of God declaring a sinner to be righteous based on faith in Christ. When an individual believes in Jesus as their Savior, they receive immediate justification, meaning they are acquitted of all sin, seen as innocent in the sight of God. This is not only limited to a one-time event but is a continual state of being justified that lasts throughout eternity. The thief on the cross serves as a powerful example of instantaneous justification, where he was justified at the moment he expressed faith in Christ. Thus, believers can live with the assurance that they are accepted in the beloved and free from condemnation at this moment.
