How do we know our faith in God is genuine?

Answered in 1 source

A genuine faith is evidenced by an inner transformation and agreement with God's will, not merely outward religious practices.

Genuine faith is marked by an inward change that aligns one’s desires and actions with the will of God. It is not enough to simply know about God or engage in religious activities; true faith manifests in a life that seeks to love and serve God. This includes a deep-rooted agreement with His commands and a transformative experience that results in bearing fruit for His glory. The reality of faith can be measured by whether one finds joy in God, obedience to His will, and a hatred for sin in a life characterized by grace, rather than duty.
