How do we know our faith in Jesus is genuine?

Answered in 1 source

We can assess the genuineness of our faith by examining our love for the brethren and our confidence before God (1 John 3:19-20).

The authenticity of one's faith in Jesus Christ can be measured by the transformation it brings to the believer's life, particularly in their love for others. As John states, 'Hereby we know that we are of the truth and shall assure our hearts before him' (1 John 3:19). Genuine faith results not only in a sincere love for one's brethren but also leads to a peaceful and uncondemning conscience before God. Ultimately, it’s the testimony of one's heart and relationship with Christ that assures believers of their faith's genuineness.
