How do we know our freedom in Christ is secure?

Answered in 1 source

Believers are assured of their freedom in Christ through the finished work of His sacrificial death and resurrection.

Romans 8:1 declares that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, signifying that the believer's freedom from guilt and condemnation is secure. This assurance is anchored in the work of Christ on the cross where He condemned sin in the flesh (Romans 8:3). The believer's liberation is once and for all—this means that the initiated work by the Holy Spirit not only frees them from guilt but also empowers them to live according to God’s will. Therefore, true freedom in Christ assures believers that they can live without the fear of condemnation.
