How do we know our gifts are accepted by God?

Answered in 1 source

Our gifts are accepted by God when they are given from a cheerful and willing heart.

2 Corinthians 8:12 reveals that the willingness of our minds is what God accepts in our giving. It points out that the amount we give is less significant than the heart from which the gift flows. A willing and cheerful heart is crucial because God is more concerned about our motives than our monetary contributions. Throughout biblical history, sincere gifts are those that reflect an understanding of God's grace towards us. When believers give, it should stem from love and gratitude, recognizing that everything we have belongs to God. In 1 Chronicles 29:14, David acknowledges that even our offerings come from what God has already given us. Thus, the acceptance of our gifts ultimately rests on the posture of our hearts before Him.
