How do we know our identity in Christ is secure?

Answered in 1 source

Our identity in Christ is secure because it is based on God's unchanging nature and His unbreakable promises.

The security of our identity in Christ is anchored in the unchanging character of God. As Hebrews 6:18 states, it is impossible for God to lie. This guarantee assures us that our relationship with Him is established by His sovereign will and purpose. Furthermore, the promise of salvation and our adoption into His family rests not on our faithfulness but on His unchanging faithfulness. Despite our failures or doubts, God’s love remains steadfast, providing us with a firm foundation. We can be assured that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ (Romans 8:38-39), reinforcing the security of our identity as His children. This assurance is not contingent on our performance, but rather on God's commitment to us through Christ.
