How do we know our inheritance is secured?

Answered in 1 source

Our inheritance is secured through our union with Christ and His merit, not by our works.

The assurance of our inheritance is founded upon our union with Christ, as highlighted by the apostle Paul in Romans 8. We are heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ solely by the merit of Jesus Christ and the grace of God. It is not our own works or worthiness that grants us such an inheritance, but rather the perfect obedience and finished work of Christ at Calvary. This doctrine reassures believers that their position as heirs is eternally secure, as their identity in Christ guarantees the ultimate realization of this inheritance.
