How do we know our justification in Christ is true?

Answered in 2 sources

Our justification is assured through the righteousness of Christ, which is credited to us by faith, as articulated in Romans 5.

Justification is a critical doctrine affirmed in Scripture, particularly in Romans 5:18, where it proclaims that through the obedience of one man, many are made righteous. Our justification is not based on our own works or merit but is solely dependent on the grace of God and the finished work of Christ. The righteousness of Christ is imputed to us; hence we can stand justified before God. This truth echoes the centrality of the Christian faith in that it is by faith in Christ that we receive this gift of righteousness, which transforms our standing from condemnation to justification.
