How do we know our loved ones are with God?

Answered in 1 source

Believers in Christ have the hope and assurance that upon death, they are with the Lord in heaven.

The assurance of a believer's eternal life, as reflected in Scripture, gives hope that those who die in Christ are with Him. In Revelation 21, we see that God promises to be with His people and to remove every aspect of sorrow and pain. This understanding is not based on wishful thinking but on the firm foundation of God’s promises, which includes the belief that Robert Horton, having faith in Christ, is now in that glorious presence free from earthly struggles.
