How do we know our names are in the Book of Life?

Answered in 4 sources

Believers can be assured their names are in the Book of Life through faith in Christ and the assurance of His promises.

Assurance of one's name in the Book of Life comes from understanding God's sovereign grace and the security found in Christ. In 1 John 5:11-12, we read that God has given us eternal life, and this life is found in His Son. Thus, if we trust in Christ, we can confidently know our names are inscribed in the Book of Life, as it signifies that life is given to those who believe. Moreover, Romans 8:28-30 assures us of our predestination and call, culminating in justification and glorification, reinforcing the certainty of our names being recorded from before the foundation of the world.
