How do we know our names are in the Book of Life?

Answered in 2 sources

We know our names are in the Book of Life by being born again of the Holy Spirit and trusting in Christ.

The assurance of one's name being in the Book of Life is intrinsically linked to the experience of regeneration through the Holy Spirit. As outlined in the sermon, one does not know their status before being saved; however, upon being born again, a believer recognizes their identity and security in Christ. The Bible consistently emphasizes that regeneration by the Holy Spirit precedes faith, enabling an individual's trust in Christ's atoning work. This transformative process is God’s grace; therefore, those who exhibit faith in Christ can rejoice in the truth that their names are secure in the Book of Life, as confirmed in the teachings of Jesus and apostolic writings.
