How do we know our names are in the book of life?

Answered in 9 sources

We know our names are in the book of life through faith in Christ, who assures us of our salvation and eternal security.

Our assurance of having our names in the book of life comes from faith in Jesus Christ and His redemptive work. In Revelation 3:5, Christ promises not to blot out the names of those who overcome, signifying that our entry into the book of life is secure through Christ's sacrifice and our belief in Him. Furthermore, the New Testament teaches that those who have received grace and the new birth are citizens of heaven, and thus their names are eternally recorded in this book that signifies life and salvation.
