How do we know our perseverance in faith is guaranteed?

Answered in 1 source

The assurance comes from God's promise that He will never leave nor forsake His elect.

Believers can find great comfort in the understanding that their perseverance in faith is ultimately guaranteed by God. Scripture teaches in Philippians 1:6 that He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion. This promise is not just based on our efforts but on the faithful nature of God. The believer’s perseverance is linked to being born again through the incorruptible seed of God's Word (1 Peter 1:23), signifying a divine origin that ensures our continued faith. Thus, while we strive to live faithfully, our assurance rests upon God’s unchanging promises and the work of Christ on our behalf.
