How do we know our salvation is genuine?

Answered in 3 sources

True salvation is evidenced by a transformed life that produces good fruit, as Jesus teaches in Matthew 7:16-20.

The genuineness of salvation can often be measured by the fruits it produces in an individual’s life. In Matthew 7:16-20, Jesus teaches that we will recognize false prophets by their fruits, which applies universally to believers as well. A life bearing good fruits of repentance, faith, and obedience to God's will signifies true conversion. If there is no change or no evidence of God’s working in one’s life, it may indicate a false assurance of salvation. Thus, continuous self-examination and reliance on God's grace are critical.
