How do we know our sins can be forgiven?

Answered in 1 source

Our sins can be forgiven because Jesus Christ, as our intercessor, has paid the penalty for our sins (Isaiah 59:16-20).

The assurance of our sins being forgiven rests on the work of Jesus Christ, who is described as our Redeemer in Isaiah 59:20. He entered the world to remove the barrier of sin that separates us from God. The Lord's arm brings salvation, and in verse 20, it is stated that the Redeemer comes to Zion. Christ's sacrifice satisfied divine justice, allowing for the forgiveness of sins for all who trust in Him. The promise from God through Christ confirms that those who turn from their sins will receive forgiveness.
