How do we know our sins can be forgiven?

The assurance of our sins being forgiven rests on the work of Jesus Christ, who is described as our Redeemer in Isaiah 59:20. He entered the world to remove the barrier of sin that separates us from God. The Lord's arm brings salvation, and in verse 20, it is stated that the Redeemer comes to Zion.
