Our worship is acceptable to God when it is sincere and centered on Christ, as He is our pure offering.
In the sermon, it is pointed out that worship must come from a heart willing to surrender self-righteousness and rely on Christ as the pure offering. God does not accept worship that is done out of mere formality or self-interest, as illustrated in Isaiah 1:12-14, where God expresses His displeasure at hollow offerings. Acceptable worship is rooted in faith and gratitude, as we recognize that we have nothing to bring to God apart from what He allows us to offer through Christ. Hebrews 9:14 indicates that only through the blood of Christ, who offered Himself without blemish to God, can we be cleansed and serve Him in a way that is pleasing to Him.
