How do we know perseverance is essential for believers?

Hebrews 12:12 calls us to lift up our hands which hang down, and make straight paths for our feet, reminding us of the importance of perseverance in the faith. As believers, we often suffer from spiritual sluggishness and fatigue. Yet, this passage highlights that perseverance is crucial for our spiritual health; it calls us to encourage one another in running our spiritual race with endurance. Without perseverance, we may falter and stray from the path leading to spiritual healing and growth.
