How do we know perseverance is true?

Answered in 2 sources

Perseverance is affirmed in Scripture through examples of faithful believers who endured hardship and through God's promises of reward for those who remain steadfast.

The truth of perseverance is substantiated by both Scriptural precepts and the historical witness of the Church. Hebrews 10:36 reminds us that we need endurance in order to receive what is promised, demonstrating that perseverance is a requisite for faithfulness. Furthermore, the lives of biblical figures such as Job, who faced profound suffering yet remained faithful to God, serve as powerful testimonies to the reality that perseverance is essential to the Christian faith. It is through both God's promises of sustaining grace and the record of believers who weathered storms that we discern perseverance as a biblical doctrine.
