How do we know prayer can lead to changes in our lives?

Answered in 1 source

Prayer can lead to significant changes as it is a means through which God's will is accomplished in our lives.

The scriptures, particularly in James 5, reveal that prayer is not just a ritual but a divine communication through which God works. For instance, when Elijah prayed for rain, God responded because Elijah prayed according to God's will (1 Kings 17-18). This exemplifies that prayer aligns believers' hearts with God's purposes and activates His sovereign plans. When we pray, recognizing our needs and God's greatness, we can expect to witness considerable changes aligned with His will.
