How do we know prayer is important?

Answered in 1 source

Prayer is vital as it connects believers to God, expressing our needs and reliance on Him.

Prayer serves as a lifeline for believers, acting as both communication and communion with God. As mentioned in the sermon, it is an act of pouring our hearts out to God, expressing our deepest needs and desires. It reminds us that we are entirely reliant on Him for strength, guidance, and assurance. Furthermore, the scriptures encourage us to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), signifying that prayer should be a continuous part of our lives. Jesus tells us that He is the only one able to help us and intercedes for us (Hebrews 7:25). In our moments of weakness and need, prayer draws us closer to understanding His will and enables us to experience peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7).
