How do we know prayer is important in seeking God's help?

Answered in 1 source

Prayer is vital because it is the means by which we communicate with God and seek His help in our lives.

The Apostle Paul instructs us to 'pray without ceasing,' highlighting the centrality of prayer in the Christian life (1 Thessalonians 5:17). This vital communication with God is compared to our need for breath; just as we cannot survive without breath, we cannot thrive spiritually without prayer. We seek God's help not only in our physical needs but also in our spiritual growth. Such prayers align with His will and lead to answers that are beneficial for our eternal good, thus affirming the significance of prayer in our reliance on God.
