How do we know preaching is essential for salvation?

Answered in 3 sources

Preaching is essential for salvation because God ordained it as the means through which His power is revealed and people are called to faith (Romans 1:16).

Romans 1:16 tells us that the gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. God has ordained preaching as His chosen method to save His people, and it is through the foolishness of preaching that God reveals truth about Himself and the righteousness that comes through faith. It is by this means that hearts are awakened, and souls are drawn from darkness into His marvelous light, illustrating the necessity of preaching in the salvific process.
