How do we know righteous judgment is true?

Answered in 1 source

Righteous judgment is confirmed through a commitment to doing God's will and aligning one's understanding with Scripture.

Jesus asserts in John 7:17 that if anyone is willing to do God's will, he will know whether Christ's teachings are from God or not. This principle establishes that a sincere intention to obey God leads to clarity and understanding regarding true doctrine. According to 1 Corinthians 2:15, 'He that is spiritual judgeth all things,' indicating that the Holy Spirit provides discernment to those who are genuinely seeking to understand God's Word.

Thus, when believers strive to align their thoughts and actions with Scripture, they develop a deeper understanding and ability to make righteous judgments. This understanding is fundamentally rooted in humility and a recognition of one’s need for grace, steering one away from self-righteousness and towards mercy and compassion.
