How do we know salvation belongs to the Lord?

In Psalm 3:8, it clearly states, 'Salvation belongeth unto the Lord.' This epic declaration emphasizes that God alone has the authority and ability to save individuals from their sins, and He does so according to His will. The necessity of salvation arises from our inherent sinfulness and inability to achieve righteousness on our own. Those who understand their complete dependence on God for salvation are the ones to whom He extends His mercy, reinforcing that salvation is a divine gift rather than a human achievement. Hence, it is primarily God's operational authority that dictates the trajectory of salvation.
