How do we know salvation comes by grace alone?

Answered in 1 source

Salvation is entirely a work of God's grace, demonstrated through scripture showing that we cannot earn righteousness.

According to Ephesians 2:8-9, we are saved by grace through faith, and that not of ourselves; it is the gift of God. Paul emphasizes that our works cannot contribute to our standing before God but rather highlight our need for divine grace. Jesus teaches that those who are poor in spirit and mourn their sins are blessed because they come to realize their hopelessness without Christ. Salvation is God's work from start to finish, securing our righteousness through the death and resurrection of Jesus, rather than through our efforts.
