How do we know salvation is all of grace?

Answered in 11 sources

Salvation is entirely of grace because it is not based on any works of man but on God's sovereign choice and action (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Salvation is rooted in the unmerited favor of God, as Romans 10:20-21 illustrates that the Lord seeks out those who do not seek Him. This affirms that any faith we have is granted by God and not a product of our efforts or righteousness. Ephesians 2:8-9 emphasizes, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Our understanding and acceptance of salvation come from God’s grace, underscoring that we contribute nothing to our salvation.
