How do we know salvation is as the Bible states?

Answered in 1 source

Salvation is as the Bible describes it, being entirely the work of God through Christ.

According to the Scriptures, salvation is defined as the work of God, not dependent on human efforts or choices. Matthew 1:21 articulates this when it states, 'Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.' This verse emphasizes that Christ's mission was to save a specific group—His people. The Bible teaches that Christ saves from the penalty of sin through His death on the cross, from the power of sin through the new birth, and ultimately from the presence of sin when believers are renewed in His likeness. Thus, our understanding of salvation must align with the biblical narrative that it is a complete work of Christ, who is the essence of salvation.
