How do we know salvation is by faith in Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Salvation is promised to all who call upon the name of Jesus, based on faith in Him as the Savior.

Romans 10:13 assures us that 'whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.' This promise highlights that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ, the one who redeems us. Salvation involves redemption, regeneration, and reconciliation, all pointing to the necessity of faith for the sinner to receive such grace. Ephesians 2:8-9 states, 'For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.' Our belief in Christ is thus foundational for our salvation.
