How do we know salvation is forever secure?

Answered in 1 source

Salvation is secure because it is based on Christ's completed work, not our efforts.

The assurance of salvation is rooted in the finished work of Christ on the cross. Hebrews explains that he purged our sins before sitting down at the right hand of the Father, indicating that the sacrifice was complete and sufficient. Furthermore, 2 Corinthians 5 articulates that God reconciled us to Himself through Christ, not contingent upon our actions, but emphasizing his sovereign grace in delivering us from sin. Thus, true believers can rest in the security of their salvation, given their union with Christ and His accomplished reconciliation.
