How do we know salvation is guaranteed for the elect?

Answered in 1 source

Salvation is guaranteed for the elect because it is promised by God's mighty power and accomplished through Jesus Christ's sacrifice.

The assurance of salvation for God’s elect is rooted in the sovereign will of God. In Zephaniah 3:17, we learn that 'The Lord thy God is in the midst of thee, He is mighty; He will save.' This reflects God's omnipotence in securing the salvation of His people. Additionally, Christ's atoning sacrifice fulfilled the law and provided complete righteousness for the elect, stating clearly that 'He will save' those He has chosen. The depth of God's commitment to save is evidenced through biblical narratives, such as the way He delights in His people post-salvation, celebrated by rejoicing and singing over them. Therefore, the elect can rest assured in the unchangeable promise of their salvation.
