How do we know salvation is of God?

Answered in 4 sources

Salvation is entirely an act of God's grace, demonstrated through His election and predestination of His people, as revealed in Ephesians 1:4-5.

Salvation is a work of God from beginning to end and is not dependent on human action. Ephesians 1:4-5 states that we were chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world, highlighting the doctrine of election. This means that our salvation is rooted in God’s sovereign will, removing any idea that it is earned through our efforts. The act of being saved is entirely by grace, as emphasized in Titus 3:5, where it says we are saved not by works of righteousness, but according to His mercy. Understanding that salvation is of God helps believers find true rest in Christ, knowing it is He who accomplishes their redemption and justification.
