How do we know salvation is through faith in the Word?

Answered in 1 source

Salvation is through faith that comes from hearing and believing the Word of God.

The Bible asserts that faith is a gift from God, specifically taught through Scripture. In Romans 10:14-17, Paul illustrates that faith cannot exist unless one hears the message of Christ, and that message is conveyed through the preaching of the Word. This highlights that the Word of God is the basis for understanding who Christ is and what He accomplished for our salvation. Furthermore, John 20:31 states that these things are written so that we might believe that Jesus is the Christ, and by believing, we may have life in His name. Therefore, it is clear that the Word of God is essential for imparting the faith necessary for salvation.
