How do we know salvation is through Jesus?

Answered in 2 sources

Salvation is through Jesus because He is the only one appointed by God to redeem us from our sins, as stated in Matthew 1:21.

The New Testament makes it clear that salvation is found exclusively in Jesus Christ. In Matthew 1:21, the angel tells Joseph that 'He shall save His people from their sins.' This indicates that Jesus’ mission was to provide salvation from sin, which is essential for understanding the Gospel. Additionally, the Apostle Paul affirms in Romans 3:24 that believers are 'justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.' This emphasizes that our justification and reconciliation with God come entirely through the work of Christ, not through our efforts or merits.
