How do we know salvation is through the cross of Christ?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible assures us that salvation is solely through the atoning work of Christ on the cross, as stated in key scripture passages.

Salvation hinges on the understanding that without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins (Hebrews 9:22). The scriptures clearly teach that it is by God's grace and through faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved, not by our own works (Ephesians 2:8-9). He who believes in the Son has eternal life, but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life (John 3:36). Paul's assertions that redemption comes through the blood of Christ highlight that our standing before God is entirely based on what Jesus accomplished on the cross.
