How do we know salvation requires knowledge?

Salvation is fundamentally tied to the knowledge of the truth, as affirmed in John 8:32, which says, 'You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.' Without understanding the truth of the gospel, one cannot genuinely believe. This is emphasized in passages like 2 Timothy 1:12 where Paul expresses confidence in the one whom he has believed.
