How do we know sanctification by faith is true?

Answered in 1 source

Sanctification, like justification, is received by faith and is the fruit of God's grace at work in our lives.

The relationship between justification and sanctification is crucial within Reformed theology. Both processes are the work of God's grace and are received by faith. Paul emphasizes in Galatians 3 that just as we receive Christ by faith, we must also walk in Him by faith, indicating that our growth in holiness (sanctification) is through trusting in Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9). This faith is not a mere mental agreement but the dynamic operation of the Holy Spirit within believers, producing love and obedience as the natural responses to the life we have in Christ. Thus, sanctification is a vital aspect of the believer's journey, emerging as a result of being made alive in Christ.
