How do we know suffering produces growth in faith?

Answered in 1 source

Suffering is an instrument used by God to refine our faith and lead us to a deeper relationship with Him.

James teaches us to consider it pure joy when we face trials because the testing of our faith produces perseverance, which in turn develops character and hope. Additionally, through suffering, believers grow in emotional intelligence and empathy, enabling us to minister effectively to others who are in similar pain. Each instance of suffering presents a unique opportunity for personal growth, revealing God's faithfulness as He carries us through our trials, ultimately drawing us closer to Him and shaping us into His likeness.
