How do we know that a believer is truly saved?

Answered in 1 source

A believer is truly saved if they continue in faith and fellowship with Christ, as evidenced by their ongoing spiritual growth.

The assurance of true salvation can be found in the continuity of faith and the presence of a living relationship with Christ. Scripture warns against those who once professed faith but later departed from it (1 John 2:19). This indicates that true believers are marked by a steadfastness in their commitment to Christ and His body—the church. Genuine faith gives rise to a heart that recognizes one’s sins and continually seeks repentance and refocusing on Christ. Hence, a believer will exhibit an ongoing reliance on God's grace, actively participating in communal worship and a personal relationship with the Lord.
