How do we know that all humanity is affected by Adam's sin?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible confirms that all humanity is affected by Adam's sin through the doctrine of original sin, demonstrated in Romans 5:12.

Romans 5:12 teaches that 'therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned.' This establishes the doctrine of original sin, which asserts that Adam's disobedience has ramifications for all humankind. Consequently, every person born inherits a sinful nature, which includes a moral inability to choose God apart from His sovereign grace. Historic Reformed theology holds that this concept is vital for understanding the need for a savior, as all are dead in their sins without the regenerative work of the Holy Spirit.
